Services Offered

Intensive In-home Services (IIS)

Family Facets provides intensive in-home services, including intensive, short-term, home-based, crisis intervention services that offer families in crisis the alternative to remain safely together, averting the out-of-home placement of children. Family Facets IIS is based upon the belief that families can, through intervention, learn to nurture their children, improve their functioning, and gain support within their community to enable families to remain safely together.

Intensive Family Reunification Services (IFRS)

Family Facets assists in returning children to their homes, by modifying an unsafe situation in the home environment or behavior of family members so that the child(ren) may return and remain safely in the family home.  Family Facets focuses on restoring and stabilizing a family to an acceptable level of functioning.

Family Facets goals in providing service shall be to assist families in removing the barriers preventing the return of their child(ren), assist in the transition of returning the child(ren) to the family, and develop with the family a plan designed to maintain the child(ren) safely in the home.

Chafee Foster Care Independence Program Services (CFCIP)

Family Facets provides services to ensure that every young adult that has transitioned from foster care has the opportunity to access education, housing, emergency services, employment, health care, community services and that these young adults have a connection with a caring adult and/or life long family member.  The CFCIP services are tailored to each transitioning young adult, based on the specific strengths and needs of each young adult.

Foster Care/Adoption Resource Services-Training & Consulting (FC/ARS-TC)

Family Facets shall provide one or all of the services of Initial Family Assessments, Renewal Assessment, Adoption Assessments, STARS Foster Care Pre-service Training, Spaulding Adoption Pre-service Training and Foster Care Parents and Adoptive Parents On-going In-service Training.

Learning Lab Workshops (LLW)

Family Facets Trainers plan and facilitate quarterly learning lab workshops as instructional sessions where Children’s Division Supervisor I staff are trained on how to create an organizational culture within the Children’s Division in which support, learning, clinical supervision, teamwork, professional best interest, and consultation are the norm.

Training, Consulting, & Family Meeting Activities (TCFMA)

Family Facets performs training, consultation and family meeting activities services to local Childrens Division offices, on an as needed basis in all of the judicial circuits of the Missouri Childrens Division at the request of the local Children’s Division offices. Family Facets provides services that are reflective of the Family-Centered Practice Model in accomplishing in-home child welfare services and out-of-home child welfare services.

Trainings

Training-Development for IIS & IFRS

Family Facets trainers provide state-wide trainings to the Missouri Children’s Division for the IIS/IFRS model. Family Facets has developed and worked as part of the State CD Training Unit to develop training curriculum for IIS/FRS since 1998 and continues to be actively involved in developing trainings.

Children’s Division Staff Trainings

Family Facets trainers deliver basic, on-going, advanced, and special issue and child welfare practices training to Children’s Division staff throughout the State of Missouri.

Special Missouri Trainings

Family Facets trainers deliver state-wide basic, on-going, and advanced FST State Trainings (including Clark Foundation FST Trainings) to Children’s Division staff.

Special National Trainings

Family Facets trainers have provided Fatherhood trainings and special trainings for the National Family Preservation Network throughout the country.  Family Facets trainers have provided training development for the NFPN.
