CTS Parent Aide Services (PRAD)

Family Facets provides for the placement of a trained parent aide in the home of a family authorized by the Children’s Division as part of the family/client's case treatment plan. Family Facets Specialists assist parents in the development of parenting and homemaking skills, through both teaching and "modeling", with a goal of reaching an acceptable level of family functioning and maintenance of the physical environment.

CTS Family Assistance Services (FMAS)

Family Facets can provide an aide to assist a child, or his family, with normal, daily living activities as part of the family/client's case treatment plan. The aide will be a mature individual who possesses the experience and skills to relate well to a child and is knowledgeable of community resources and how to access those resources for the family. The aide will work to establish a relationship of trust with the child and his/her family; assist adult members of the family in accessing community resources (e.g. arranging for utilities, searching for rental property, locating a family physician, transportation to community resources, etc.); shadow a child to ensure the child arrives safely at school and return home safely after school; provide one-on-one temporary supervision of a child, at home, at school or other location, as pre-approved by the child's case manager. This is a time-limited service intended to be of 30 days duration or less.

CTS Homemaker Services (HOMK)

Family Facets provides paraprofessional homemaker services to families authorized by the Division in order to develop homemaking and home management skills through in-home education and/or group education. Family Facets Specialists also provide temporary aid to the family in the form of child care, cooking, and house cleaning to relieve immediate stress which is contributing to child abuse or neglect. This is a time-limited service intended to be of 30 days duration or less.

CTS Parent Education Program Services (PECB)

Family Facets can provide an instructional program in the form of appropriate parenting techniques. The instructional program takes place between Family Facets’ instructor(s) and a group consisting of three or more individuals, at least three of whom must be Children’s Division clients. Family Facets Instructors design and provide an instructional program directed toward assisting parents to develop skills and obtain knowledge in such areas as discipline, child development, parent-child interaction, nurturing, behavior modification, and sibling interaction. Family Facets Instructors are knowledgeable of group dynamics, child development, modes of discipline, parenting skills, interpersonal relationships, human behavior and adult learning styles. This is a time-limited service intended to be of 30 days duration or less.
